Celebration of Learning AY10/11 A year ago, us 6 rushed up to our meeting room after our final exam paper to prepare for our event which was on the very next morning. We only grabbed snacks from Cheers before heading to the Auditorium to apply spray paint on the boards and some of the balloons. Not to mention prepare our emcees for the hosting of the event. We worked frantically, racing against time. We had limited resources but we wanted to make the ending for our seniors a good and memorable one. We choose a theme that was fitting for a prom night because since our Diploma caters to 300 students, there was no way we had the resources to book a pretty venue for a proper prom night. So we made this a little prom thing for our seniors to remember and enjoy. I think we will always remember how we shamefully approached our librarians to help us keep our logistics because it was 8pm by the time we finished our work and our lecturers all went back already. Not to mention the fact that we had to reach school at 8am the next morning to start decorating the places and do some last minute touches. Our black/white wall was by far the biggest achievement and i really have to salute Eunice, Diyana and David for piecing each A4-sized paper with patience and perfection. The interior decor was pretty too, i think! We took whatever unwanted CDs from home and hung them on the poles used for the lightings. Really have to thank the technicians for joining in the fun and giving us advice too. I enjoyed it a lot because of them (not to mention the Malay dude kept teasing me because of my accent too, lol). It was a mad rush getting things done because of the lack on manpower and the intensive decorating that we had planned. We were right down to the last bits when our seniors started pouring in and oh my, i still cannot believe that we pulled it off. It was a very very good feeling when our B.I.G seniors told us how they liked and enjoyed it a lot. Not to mention also, how Mrs Tay came to tell us that we did a good job. So forever proud of us. Our sub commies, David, Ken and Diyana (did i leave out anyone? Sorry) who helped so so much. My God. But it was such a huge relief that we held another successful event. This year though ... We instead are participants. So to cut it all short, here are the pictures. Some of us met up a little bit earlier to have light lunch and a mini photoshoot session. Love them! ![]() My dearest Ghangaa. We clicked IMMEDIATELY when we first met at our first official meeting as the new main committee.
