I love my dimwits.

NE Preview 2008
We had to wait for Sunny TEO SHENG YANG for 40 minutes because he woke up late (SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP, ALL YOU DO IS SLEEP! HAHAHA) and we ended up waiting at the MRT station for 40 minutes. We had a lot of stories to share of course but we were too hungry to talk to much anyway XD 3 of us, Maira, Sunny and me went to meet Mariame at City Hall before we make our way to the Esplanade. Cheese and Chocolate pancakes on the way! We were starving! We walked, and walked AND walked and finally arrived at the Esplanade: Theatres on the Bay. We quickly settled at the first spot we found empty. Maira set her tripod up first while i set mine up only an hour after when people starting coming in. Use the tripod to "book" the spot, you know? D: Because people would start pushing our bags and we'd end up squashed together >< After a while, Mariame and Sunny went to get us dinner (sort of) and was lucky to find a hawker centre. Nasi Lemak for S$4.50. CRAZY OR WHAT. But there was a lot of ingredients inside so, i can't complain much. Sunny went,"Oh ya. One got ikan and the other one got fish." Me,"HUH? Means both got fish right?" Sunny,"Oh no no. One got ikan the other one got hotdog." Cute or not? Ikan and fish. =.= [PS: Ikan IS fish in malay] HAHA. Throughout the whole night, Maira and i kept teasing him about it XP

After dinner, we started to prepare and take shots whenever we needed to. Actually, this trip was to accompany Maira take pictures of the fireworks for school but we all brought our cameras along XD Thank you Maira for teaching me and giving me tips <3

Unfortunately, i think we didn't get the best spot (because the floats were so obstructive) and ended up having them in all of our pictures. It kindda ruined every picture i have >< Furthermore, the crowd was just too big to move around quickly to get into a better position. Nevertheless, it was a great experience. When they played the National Anthem, i suddenly felt a sense of pride in me. Despite the reckless behaviour i see everyday, i'm still proud of being a Singaporean. Everytime we sing the song in school or say the pledge, it does make you love your country more. Only now we don't need to sing the anthem or take the pledge in Polytechnics XD I don't know if i still remember them but i'm sure i do (though i really don't want to try. HAHAHA) I sound so patriotic. But honestly, it made me feel very proud to be a Singaporean. Beside me were little kids who rose on their feet to sing along and took the pledge when it was sung out. Very touching moment. I wonder if anyone noticed how i turned quiet when they were singing and reading the pledge out loud, haha! I don't usually like crowds (because it makes me dizzy) but this time, i enjoyed it.

OH, there were displays by the air force too. SO COOLLLLL. I hereby dub them the coolest people on Earth. They made a heart shape in the skies! There were so many other routines that made everyone applaud out loud and kids going,"WAAHHHHHH!!" XD I think i was one of them but i was just screaming in my head,"SO COOLL LAAAA!" HEHE. At around 8, there were fireworks. Took what i could but wasn't satisfied with any of the pictures unfortunately. I've more to learn and those floats are so... ROOOAARRR XD LOL. But the fireworks were really nice, as always <3 A great finale.

BUT we thought their goodie bags were horrid ): We were talking about how much we disliked the one we had during our time but we were comforted by the fact that this year's was slightly worse. Unfortunately... But the goodies in it were better! (I still remember.. My brother threw my light saber - yes i got that for my year! - down) But oh well. We did join their lines XD We joined HuaMin primary before taking a short cut to the road. "Let's make new friends!" I wonder what were the guards there thinking about us. HAHAHA

We took the train down to Marina Bay and got seats (of course). Started to cam-whore with Maira's camera. I kept yawning and yawning, omg. I was extremely tired but much more happier inside because i got to spend another weekend with my dimwits even though many were missing. Beats me but weekends with dimwits is waaaayyy better then staying at home watching my computer (sorry!). HAHAHA.

Cook
I helped my mum cook again just now (: Had a chat about religion again and how things are changing so quickly. I also raised the issue on how those things will disturb you because we were talking about it in school the other day. It creeped me out ): But to me, and maybe to some of you out there too... If you don't give a thought about it, it won't disturb you. In KL, my mum told me a lot of stories that she and my grandma encountered. Even my cousin there had stories but i didn't think much about it went about the day just having fun. Nothing happened and i'm very thankful that God heard my prayers and i think my new philosophy actually is true XD But most of all, just believe that God will take care of you. At the same time, you have to do your own part (:

PS: I hope some day i would have the guts. I hope one day i will finally find myself brave enough to face you. I don't even understand why i'm so fearful of you. Weird! ><
PPS: The more i think about the future, the more afraid i am when i think about the incident happening right before my eyes. Oh how i wish i hadn't pestered mummy to tell me what grandma dreamt of! ):
