Dorama Review: Honey & Clover Dorama review: Honey & Clover: It's actually a love story between 5 college students. And trust me, it never ends the way you want it to. Initially, i thought Takemoto kun and Hagu chan will end up together because the preview showed both of them together, plus the name of the drama simply relates to both of them (well, you can say that Honey is Takemoto kun & Clover is Hagu chan) once you watch the story and know how the title came out (at the last scene -.-) Right from the beginning of the show, Morita san and Hagu chan confesses their liking for each other. However, Morita fell in love with Hagu chan for her paintings, not exactly for her. Apparrently he's a good friend because he tried to NOT start a relationship with her because he knew that good friend Takemoto has a liking for her too. FUNNY THING IS, Takemoto kun was the first one to meet her (it was an awkward meeting). AAGGHHH, all this is so complicated, i'm finding it tough to choose my words. So, Morita san keeps on telling Hagu chan how they would be rivals (in art) forever, also in some way telling her that they cannot be lovers. The other love triangle is between Yamada chan, Mayama kun & Rika san. Yamada also confesses her liking for Mayama early in the drama. On the other hand, Mayama falls for his employer, Rika san. She lost her husband (for a very painful reason) and is like 30+ years old in the show. *CHANTS, i'm not going to voice my unhappiness about this! NONONO* Mayama, stuck between these two, Hmm, what a long review. I think i gave out most of the spoilers. I'm so bad at reviews/summaries. As for the casts, hmmm... Morita san did well, so did Yamada & of course Takemoto (ok i'm being biased but he did well!). Nomiya and the female colleague (i forgot her name!) did well too. I loved how she exagerates her speeches and all XD As for Hagu chan and Rika san, if i were to actually be fond of their roles then i'd say they did well too. I just didn't like their personalities. So...boring and blur. I truly think Mayama deserves someone like Yamada than Rika san(HMPPPFF). But then again, Yamada deserves to be with Nomiya if Mayama's being so selfish like that. END- I did okay during class today but if i were to judge on my progress, i'd say 'well' instead of 'okay' (: I suddenly reflect back upon my trip to Mecca during class while flipping through the pages of the Qur'an to find surahs. You know how the arabic numbers are right? Haha. Ok well, when my dad, mum and i were done praying for the day, we would meet up outside the mosque and go shopping together. (Umm, FYI my brother didn't come along) The mosque is so big, subahanallah, so we had to walk the whole circumference of the mosque to get to the other market further from our hotel. The mosque was so huge that they had different doors built so that the masses could enter (i think some were closed, though). Since we had to walk the whole circumference, we passed almost half the number of doors. So my dad and i would start saying the numbers out everytime we passed one. We were beginners then (as in, we were just learning how to recognise the numbers) so my dad and i usually 'fought' about how the number is actually 7/8 or 0/5. The numbers 7 and 8 amuse me sometimes cos' i tend to mix them up. 7 in arabic is a letter v whereas 8 is an inverted v. LOL. And sometimes i think that the number 0 is a 5. Because 0 in arabic is just a dot (like the fullstop) and 5 is a small 'o'. Hahaha. I had fun challenging my dad though XD! Mmm, insyaAllah my whole family (with my relatives & all) would be able to make a trip there together some day. Mum and dad are working hard, saving money for our next trip so it'll be best to 'repay' them by doing well in school (: I miss the place so. |
