darkroom workshop in school Managed to get a place for this afternoon's darkroom session in school. It was a first-come-first-serve basis and i was lucky to read the email only 2 hours after Alfred (senior) sent out; a relief that they finally send notices to me -___- Anyway, i was supposed to wake up at 9 but ended up waking up at 11 and had to rush out of the house by 12. Managed to get to school by 12.50pm! NOT LATE D: But i had to wait for almost 30 minutes before the rest came... Out of 7 (i think), 6 came. 3 of which were Jiayi, Nethan and Amber - the outgoing people i met during the VC camp :D Lucky me, i had company at least! Darkroom was interesting! But it does require some patience and skill as well (a good sense of timing and judgement i suppose). Jiayi started off with a picture of a cat (they already had films ready for us to use) and it turned out quite brilliantly. I had my turn and it turned out black because we accidentally exposed the paper (the one that it's supposed to be 'printed' on) to light (that's why it's called darkroom) After a couple of tries and disappointment, we finally got things right by asking the seniors. I thought i had a lot of doubts to clear so, kudos to the seniors who were around to teach and help (; Each of us brought back 5 pictures :D Very cool, i want to do it again! XD Anyway, after the session, we went down to the Cyber Centre (the home of TP photographers, i assume?) to check if our attendance was marked and i stayed briefly to chat with the teacher. He's really nice (and thus i should be punished for not knowing his name...) and helpful. Extremely approachable i must say (: He's the type of person who makes me more keen to learn things that i never knew exited in photography. Amazing how people you know play a part in even the tiniest aspect of your life. I only managed to do 2 nice ones out of 5 (hey, it takes practice!) so here they are: ![]() ![]() I have 2 other ones that turned out okay but slightly too dark. I probably want to do it again soon, it's so interesting 8D The heat is getting to me. I lost my appetite and the mood to do anything. I would turn the air-con on but i want to save money ;____; But... *screams. What is the temperature now?! The Earth is on fire! It's terrible. To make it worse, i hate it when smokers smoke near your face. It feels so stuffy and it makes breathing so difficult (ps: i hold my breath whenever i walk past people who smoke). Well, i can't do anything about this, no one can. So what should we do? Shut up and deal with it. O: Liverpool match at 10pm later. My brother wants me to update him till he comes home after prayers. That's all for today. I want to go out tomorrow ): Or i'll finally find the strength to pull my mum out to get the ingredients for kueh tomorrow. |
