feel like making sunshine for you ~ - song by Alex Chu!~ jaazzzzz My graphic card is too lousy at the moment so i can't play NWN ): I miss my friends there. I miss playing with my brother and going on an adventure to find new discoveries together. I miss the sounds and thrills there too, haha. SAVE MONEY. GET A GOOD GC. END EXAMS WELL NEXT SEM. PLAY ALL YOU WANT THEN. (: So guess what i've been playing. Old-school Roller Coaster Tycoon. The first original one (yes my graphic card stinks so bad i can't even play the expansion set). Of course, recommended by my brother himself. I started off just watching him play but ended up trying it out myself soon after. My aim's to unlock all the maps. Though it seems quite impossible because i almost died unlocking the 2nd map because it took me 3 hours. The target is alright (you end up bankrupt sometimes but with the twitching of prices here and there, you'll be able to make it D:) but the computer clock according to the game is.. ;____; It just takes too much time. And the new unlocked maps are crazzzyyy. So little land, so much water. The one that i did to unlock this water-filled map had so much land and no water (because it was a desert) -___- So i guess this is what i can expect to get. I'm going to try to unlock the third map once i'm done with my chores 8D I feel like a geek. HAHAHA. No one's free to accompany me out, and it's not like i'm allowed out of the house too frequently either ): But the time that i have also means i need to get back to reading my Qur'an (: By the way, my mum left a small handy card that you can get from the mosque. Today, i have...: My mum took a whole stack to distribute to her friends too ^^b It's a good reminder to all of us. That reminds me.. I received an email from a friend which was quite disturbing. I don't know if he realised he'd sent it to the wrong person (as in, me) because it was mocking Islam in a way. The email showed a picture and narration of a boy who was about to get his hand driven over by a vehicle because he stole a bread from the shop in Pakistan (?). And it ended off with something like,"tell the world what this religion is doing to their people" I was furious because some people have wrongly sent me emails like these, insulting my religion. Of course i don't feel good about it. My dad accompanied me to buy dinner yesterday (of which i only took an hour by the way!!) and i told him about the email. But i started off with asking him about the situation in Mecca. 3 years back (mashaAllah, it's been that long!) when i was there, i saw kids on the street begging for money. Some only had one hand, some had one leg and all the possibilities you could probably imagine. Mothers cuddling their baby in their arms, putting their hands out for money. It was, depressing. I don't know if it was my mum who informed me then that they are like that because they either stole, lied or did something that deserved punishment. We all know in Mecca (the holy land), rules are strict and all. But the punishment. I don't know if it's true and i know neither do you. If you can lead me to a source that shows the law of the country that said punishments should be that cruel, then i shouldn't apologise. But is this how people (who don't source out reliable information) bring down our religion? I asked my dad about it and he didn't think a muslim country would do such a gorey thing. Then he said something... Obviously, you can't believe what you see on the net. So before you start bashing one another, source out information first k? I don't blame my friend for the email because i doubt he read the email carefully (because we all know we don't, don't lie). Nevertheless, i'm glad i'm living in a country that allows us to practice religion freely. After what happened on livejournal, i just got more thankful than ever to be living in Singapore. -background on what happened on livejournal- Livejournal has this thing called Writer's Block. Every day, they will open a topic on different issues and members can have their say. On that particular day, it was about Ramadhan and how Muslims around the world celebrate this holy month. There were a lot of hate then. Narrow-minded people who cursed this beautiful religion and said all terrible things about us Muslims. Some even said,"Like there are muslims on livejournal anyway!" Errr, hello? There are quite a number of Muslim communities on livejournal. Not to mention how we use icons for our "identity" instead of pictures like on friendster. This event created a topic on the community i was in (muslimgirls @ lj!) and everyone agreed. "God knows what will happen to them in the hereafter." Nothing less/more said. So before you start talking behind someone's back, make sure you get things right before you make mistakes and ruin everything. Religion wise, i know we shouldn't just stand and watch but i'm sure God will handle all these for us. Only He knows best anyway, right? PS: 4 to go. |
