Time, I've been patient for so long

Goodbye, Westlife 2012. I woke up this morning at close to 2am to news of Westlife splitting. My heart dropped. I personally felt like they would last for eternity.. What a dream i was awaken from! The lads released a statement stating their intention to go separate ways and pursue individual goals. As much as i am happy that they probably didn't end on a bad note (i say probably because there might be some things left unsaid, obviously), i wish they had chosen to take an indefinite break to pursue individual activities rather than to go for a complete split. Westlife... I fell in love with them the moment i heard 'My Love'. I was only 7 then. It was played during my primary school principal's farewell ceremony. I admit that as much of a fan as i am, i didn't buy ALL their albums. I don't have posters in my room because my religion doesn't permit that, furthermore, i pray in my room and it's not appropriate to have such things. But i do enjoy their songs a lot. You got to admit that some of their albums after Brian left were boring but my gosh, the rest of their albums where they churned out original songs were perfect. I seldom enjoy listening to the albums. For many artistes, it's only a couple of songs from the album that are a 'must-listen'. I have honestly enjoyed listen to the lads' albums whenever i buy them. Back to the bad news... Read a few published articles and was so disappointed with some, especially The Guardian where there wasn't any positivity in that piece of journalism at all. Everything about Westlife that was mentioned in the article was negative. Even the comments were distasteful. But after reading them, i decided not to go on and look for other articles because it's always good to concentrate on the better side of things, no? Anyway, i wonder if any friends have read the speeches by the WP team in Parliament. I read Mr Chen Show Mao's speech (because i couldn't fall asleep..zzz) and it was really good. I surprisingly went on to read his speech in mandarin too. I wonder what are the responses from the general public so far. While it is too early to judge, i believe it's a good start as to what is ahead. Slightly over 3 days left to my first examination in Uni and 10 days before my parents depart on a big journey, insyaAllah. Please pray for their safety and blessing as they embark on this spectacular journey together as a husband and wife, and as faithful servants to Allah s.a.w. Amin. |

Keep holding on,
because you'll get there eventually. |
