Hikki! First, let me rant on how much i love Utada Hikaru now. XD She's so awesome can? I'm hooked to her song, Celebrate and i found her performance video on the song she performed live on a program called Music Lovers (in Japan i think?) She hits all the notes perfectly! Am i not right to say that her voice is perfect? Although she looks very 'aunty' without makeup and a proper hairdo for the show, her voice is amazing. I would love to listen to more of her songs! Currently,i'm bent on learning Japanese XD I wanted to attend a language lesson a few years back but no one wants to accompany me so yea.. :( I think i'm going to get a book at Popular though :D Watching the Japanese version of Hana Kimi also made me more interested in the language! Know why? While listening to their speeches, i realised that some words that they use are chinese words. I know it's quite obvious that the language has a mix of Chinese characters. But some of them don't have the same pinyin (phonics? sp?) as of the Chinese language. I managed to catch one word in the show (HAHAHA, ONLY ONE, cos' i forgot the rest) and the word is... 散步! The pronounciation and meaning is the same. It's similar, but not identical. The Japanese language seems to be a bit 'softer' than the Chinese. When we pronounce 散步, it's sàn bù right? But they pronounce it as san bu (as in.. without the (insert word here) i don't how to explain, but i hope you get what i mean XD) Aaaahhh! Not only have the show and Hikki influenced the language, but also the food shows that they have on Channelnews Asia. They have these food shows and all right? HAHAHA. Okay, i'm soooo going 'Japanese' now. (Although i remember vividly how much i hated them when i was learning history in my lower sec - all the brutality. BUT it's always best to put the past behind, what's the point of being hostile to one another forever? :P) Must admit that i wanted to pick up Korean language (like JieYing and Wenzhuang - GAMBATE!) but i think it was my brother who suggested to pick up a language that would be useful in the 'business world', something like that. NOT THAT KOREA IS NOT ONE OF THEM OF COURSE. If you look at it, Korea's blooming in it's entertainment industry and obviously i'm not going to be in it XD So ya :D I'm still thinking about it (: Probably going to head to the library tomorrow to take a look. Funny or not? I renewed my book 3 weeks ago and still haven't started reading AND it expires tomorrow. =.= I'm going to renew it again tomorrow. *Head desk. Bottom line, Pictures in the next post, maybe tonight :D |
