Hari Raya Haji Yesterday was Hari Raya Haji. I have been very excited and have been anticipating this day. In the morning, mum and me went to the mosque with my aunt, uncle, and 2 of my cousins, Wani and Abg Azrin. My mum had ordered(i don't know the right word) 2 sheeps for slaughter on behalf of my grandma and my late grandpa. This year, we went to Masjid Darul Makmur(in Yishun) instead of Masjid Ahmad Ibrahim last year. There were so many people there! The procedure was quite messy and hard to follow but Alhamdulilah, everything went smoothly. My cousin Wani and me video-ed the process of slaughter while my mum and aunt watch on as my uncle and cousin read prayers and all. Many people would probably think that the process of slaughter is quite cruel and so on. But the fact is that the sheep are happy to be slaughtered. I used to think that it was cruel too, but last year's experience made me realise(with my mum's guidance also) that the sheep are very willing to die for Allah. Who isn't willing to die for God right? Besides, their meat would be distributed amongst the poor and fellow muslims. After everything, we carried the probable 6kg meat back to my grandma's place. However, both mummy and me felt that the process done at Darul Makmur isn't such an eye-opener like the one at the Ahmad Ibrahim mosque last year. Last year, they guided us through the slaughter, the skinning of the sheep, and the cutting of the meat. We saw every step done before us, which is an experience one can never forget. Maybe Darul Makmur can impose something like that(i think my mum wrote a feedback like that one though i'm not that sure). Anyways, i stayed at my grandma's place despite the fact that the family gathering is in the afternoon. I ate there, then took my prayers and then slept for a while(20 mins lol). Woke up and the prayers have already started so i just joined in. Was so glad to see my cousins. My sayangs deep deep in my heart. After prayers, us girls prepared the food and laid them in the living room for the rest to dig in. After eating, some of us camwhored a bit cos' we missed each other so much. I still miss them. We had such a short time yesterday. Too short :( I've edited the picture but somehow there's a problem.. so i won't post it just yet. I spent the whole afternoon today assembling a minature wooden carousel. I'm still not done yet though. It was a tough job okay =.= I still have to paint it. Much more to be done. OH! I browsed through my phone yesterday and found some videos that i took during our class chalet. The first night some of us didn't sleep and watched tv throughout. There was also a "show" that was going on. Haha, enjoy! :P PS: You might want to lower down the volume because of horrendous laughters in the background. XD Teehee! Morning madness. By the way, the twwosome is Shaowei(in black) and Darren(in pink). Thanks for the fun and laughter! XD , osn. previous next |
