Jay. -fangirl mode- I doubt i'm the only person who thinks that the controversy created - after Jay's comments made on myspace 4 years ago - is being blown out of proportion. To an extent where a petition asking him to commit suicide surfaced. How inhumane! How can you ask someone to kill himself JUST for a mistake he made 4 years ago?! And what right do you have to ask someone to take his/her life? How barbaric. This mess really made me change my impressions on many different things i think i shouldn't state. Bottomline, i think the controversy is ridiculous (think about it, he moved to Korea from the States with no knowledge about the country, culture or the language there. DO YOU THINK YOU can handle such a major change in your life?) and a big big mess created by those anti fans and not Jay. Wasn't a sincere apology enough to let it go? In my opinion, i think every single one of us out there would have made some nasty comments. We can be forgiven, but not a star like Jay? Isn't Jay an ordinary human being as well? How come he isn't given the rights similar to us all? Besides, it was clear that the culture shock made him say those things. Imagine yourselves entering a foreign country and not understanding ANYTHING. And how ironic! To set up a petition asking him to kill himself THEN acting all "surprised" that he left the group eventually. What do you expect when you pile pressure on a person like that? Perhaps you did not put yourself into his shoes. Perhaps you need some fixing to your brain and think of the consequences. I'm glad Jay's fellow celeb friends have voiced their opinions on this and i think we're all waiting for news that he WILL come back. While reading the comments about Jay's departure from 2PM, i saw some that i came to agree with.. This mess also shows how 'powerful' these anti-fans/netizens can be. Do we let them slide so easily? Let them destroy our favourite actors/singers/comedians/etc one-by-one by diggin up their past and puting a knife on their throat till they surrender themselves? And in the long-run, these are the people who will influence the laws in the country? CRAZY. Messed up. This has been blown out of proportion when it didn't have to. Now that they've ruined a guy's dreams... are they happy now? |
