ORIENTATION ( 02/01-04/01 )

Day One:
Met JieLing and Benjamin at the MRT station as planned and headed to school. The school's very big and spacious which was a good thing of course. Haha. When we arrived, we went to the area just outside the general office(MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO - that's how we ended there) and checked the long lists for our names and our assigned orientation groups(OG). I was laughing cos' i saw that there was a group named Barney. I didn't realise that i was in Barney 5. =.= It reminded me of the times Don and I kept fooling around with the Barney hugs, how Barney died(won't reveal the secret though) and how i drew Barney stuff on his notebook and he drew Hello Kitty ones on mine. LOL. Ok, so we had to split. JieLing and Benjamin were in the same group. So lucky! Even Aisya(my religious class friend in '05) was in the same group. So, i had to make friends all over again. The first day was terrible. Really terrible cos' we had to sit for 2 hours for talks on different topics. And after the talk, we had some activites and even after that, we had another 2 hours of talks. Really, our butts were sore and legs were aching badly. During the talks, i would ss JieLing telling her how horrible i felt and she was the same too. I wonder how the rest coped with it. After that, we got paired up with guys for the mass school dance. My first partner was coughing and he covered his mouth with his hands so i was quite reluctant when we had to hold hands and dance(hahaha). After which, we gathered together as a clan and tried to come up with cheers and such. Must admit everyone wasn't that sporty in the beginning but as the day went on, we became closer and contributed at least a little. Oh, and i forgot to mention a few of us counted down to dismissal. >

Before i forget, JieLing smsed me saying she saw Samuel(my pri 4-6 good friend) and i met him after. Still look the same, and still teasing me bout my height. Nevertheless, very glad to see him after so long ;) The day ended off terribly(for me at least) cos' my group had to send 2 representatives upstage to dance. We lost a group card so we had to do a forfeit. You should know who went up and got embarassed right? =.=.=.=.= School ended at 1715hrs and went home with the 2 and JieLing's friend.

Day Two:
Today was much better cos' we moved around a lot and had tons of fun. We started off with the scavenger hunt in the morning. Was a group work also. We got 3rd. Then, it was time for breakfast at 1045hr. Food was ok-ok la. What can you expect from catered services right? HAHA. Then, we had clan period which we practiced more cheers and the dance and song. Fun, laughters all around the stadium where we practiced. Then we had mass dance again. I had a better partner this time who was coincidentally from my clan too. He was sporty la, which brought the mood to dance. You know how it feels when your partner is all stone-faced, no expression, boring right? No mood to dance. So, enjoyed the 2nd dance better although i messed up the steps a little. After dance, we had lunch at the stadium and some of us found worms in our lunch. After lunch, went back to the hall to sing the school song, then back to the stadium again. Learned more cheers, talked and talked and then we had mass games. We had the family race first. We had to search for puzzle pieces and clues that will lead to our next destination. A lot of groupwork here which kindda bonded us a little bit more. Although we couldn't find all the pieces, we had a lot of fun. Then we proceeded with mini games. The first game was pass-the-water-balloon-with-your-shirts. HAHAHA. I couldn't find a better word okay -.-" I was the last person to catch the balloon and place it on the floor. Scary but fun la. Team work again. We got 2nd i think. Second game was tick-tack-tionary(they called it that) was good too. Much like pictionary, but when you guess 2 right, your team member will be placed on a number(like tic-tac-toe la) and you know the rest i hope. We won against Neutrons cos' we got the most people on the board. ^^ The third game was also a blast. 9 people had to balance the balloon against their chests and walk then picking up cones on the floor on the way to the finish line. NERVOUS OH! I was the 2nd last person and the last was a big guy called Bryan. Hahahaha. He kept saying,"Eh eh, don't move you know later my balloon drop. If you move then tell me." HAHAHA. And he was very tall so he could see my balloon. IT WAS ON MY THIGH OKAY! I was freaking out and a miracle happened cos' i managed to push it back onto my chest. We were last of the 3 competing groups but we won overall. Reason? The rest used their hands to handle their dropping balloons so it didn't count. Woooohooo! HAHAHA. We couldn't finish all 5 games cos' we had to stick to the schedule. And so we had our dinner at 1800hr then headed to the stadium with our bags. We played a mystery game around the school(which was pitch dark). It was more like Cluedo but with real people. The first clue was at the sick bay. 10 people went into the room and our leaders closed the door. Someone got so scared he/she started banging on the door LOL. Funny but the atmosphere was so freaky. I went with 9 other people for the 2nd clue. After asking 3 questions(in actual fact, i think we asked almost 6 questions XD), the suspect sitting there said,"The answer is front of you." So we started walking towards the parapet and out of nowhere, THIS GUY JUST JUMPED OUT. I screamed la. SCARED ME OUT OF MY WITS. =.= RARRR! The third clue was at the rooftop and the fourth was at the tennis court. By then we could do it as a whole clan, which was better so everyone could experience the thrill. Haha. The fifth clue was at the gym. Some of us checked the boys' toilet for the suspect cos' we heard the shower was on. But when they opened the door, they went,"Cleaner only la." LOL. Funny okay. The suspect was in the girls' toilet though. XD Due to time constraint again, we headed back to the stadium and from there, dismissed us. Reached home at 2215hrs. Tired like hell.

Day Three(today):
Diploma programme talk in the morning, was quite okay. Then the last dance of our orientation. This time, i danced with a girl(there were a lot more girls than guys) so it was quite fun, really. The girls were sporty and overall it was really fun laughing together when we made mistakes. :P After which, we gathered again as a clan to practice our cheer, song and prepare our mascot. Then we had the grand finale in the hall. Mascot catwalk, group performance( we did 2 Barney songs) and 3 cheers at the end. To make it short and sweet, the day ended off great cos' BARNEYS WON THE BEST CLAN AWARD! WOOOOO! To think from the beginning everyone was soft and hostile to each other, by today everyone probably knew everyone already. Even we start talking without any hesistation. GOOD JOB! Should thank all the leaders for a great orientation. ^^

That's all. I'm still tired after 2 hours of sleep. =.=

PS: YESTERDAY! (: I was glad the wait was over la. Hahahaha
