Mariame's flying off tonight.

I feel very tired~

Mariame and me were debating over who should be casted as Aro in New Moon, the next installment of the Twilight Saga. Ben Barnes, who acted as Prince Caspian is rumoured to be campaigning for the role but i am against the idea like how i was against Rob as Edward and Kristen as Bella. (Though i accepted reality, after watching the movie, i have to admit i questioned their acting once again) Well, as Aro, i would very much prefer people who look as close to Arwen's dad in Lord of The Rings (who also acted as Mr Smith in the Matrix) OR the leader of the Archers. I don't think Mariame agreed with Arwen's dad but the leader for the Archers, agreed that Haldir (was that his name?) would be one of our picks. HAHA.

I sincerely hope Chris Weiz (the new director) weighs his options carefully and really read the book in detail. Because as how it is described in the books, Haldir is pretty much the closest possible match. Another reason why i wouldn't like Ben being cast as Aro (despite being a heart throb in Prince Caspian and his British accent, omg) is because.. I think it'd ruin the image of Aro; in such a way that Prince Caspian is ... a good guy so that's my first impression. It'd be tough to see him as Aro, though calm and collected, is harsh.

New Moon is undoubtedly the least favourite book that i like in the Saga though i really love the last few chapters (those parts were the climax of the book) because it's mostly about Jacob. Speaking of whom, is going to be replaced *stabs Summit. I'm really on Team Edward so it'll be hard to sit in the theatre and watch the movie that is almost half about Jacob D:

The movie didn't quite live up to my expectations so i wasn't really pleased; more upset than happy to have watched the movie, really. I think Twilight in the first place, is a really hard book to turn into a movie because it's only from Bella's POV. Most of the book speaks from Bella's mind and thus it's hard to translate that on screen - unless you want narrations at every scene which is quite a bother. And since i brought my mum to watch with me, i got some feedback from her too. She doesn't understand what's going on throughout the story. This shows how brief the movie actually is and also... You HAVE to read the book before watching the show or you'll just waste your money there. Another point that i disliked was how hostile Rosalie was. I think some of the actions portrayed by the actors were somewhat over exaggerating but that's just me.

Although i have to commend Catherine for her tremendous effort to search for the best places for different scenes. Perfect, i must say. And may i just add that the baseball scene is flawless. If i could, i'd keep that scene in my ipod and watch it everyday. Really good stuff for the baseball scene. The prom tent was truly amazing as well. So pretty (and i heard it caught fire about yesterday i think...) In the future instalments, i would really like to see more action for the rest of the Cullen family.

Didn't manage to catch it with Mariame as planned so long before, but i hope we'll catch it when she gets back~ Take care and have fun ah lady <3

PS: The Twilight review section in Lifestyle today pretty much sums up how i feel about the movie. Too fast paced and hard for those who haven't read the books to understand.
