week of 30th November! ![]() This week has been filled with a lot of schoolwork but on a positive note, i ended up going back early everyday - early as in right after tutorials/lectures. Travelling back with Brenice was good, lots of bonding time and getting to know each other! Now i got a friend got Bernice (fat) and Brenice. PS: I'm not implying that Bernice is fat just because i call her so. That's like the nickname we call our HR group members since last semester! (: Grace, Bernice, Nicola, Eric and i call each other fat so don't get me wrong! So anyway, travelling back home also includes drinking bubble tea and having fries/shaker fries :D Brenice asked me to try the shaker fries; the last time i did, i didn't like it. AND i still don't like it! (1) the taste itself.. i love seaweed but not mc's seaweed powder thing and (2) it's powder! i don't like the feel of having powder in my mouth. HAHAHA. So the next day we bought separately :D Yes we ate fries for two days straight. When we're stressed, we eat and eat and eat. Had bubble tea and fries at the back of the bus 8D That was Thursday - we were 'stressed' because we weren't prepared for our PFP (personal financial planning) test the next morning. We ended at 11 on Thursday so it was very good news because we have the rest of the day to study! I came back, slept for an hour, woke up and edited my cover letter and resume, started studying till about 7pm i think. Took a break and continued studying. Slept at 10 because i couldn't stop a past year exam question (i thought i was having a mind block) and planned to wake up at 5 the next morning to try again. I tossed and turned on the bed for an hour and i couldn't sleep! SO, jumped out of bed, washed my face, turned on the computer and asked Eric and WeiMing on msn. Both also confused T_T I ended up teaching Eric a bit and realised that.. I just don't have enough confidence in myself. I thought my answer was wrong (AGAIN) and therefore thought i couldn't do it T_T SO after being able to solve those questions, i went to bed... peacefully. Friday morning. Woke up at 6, went to school at 7am, really thank God for answering my prayers because i got an empty seat to study! Reached Tampines at a crazy 7.30am (no jam whatsoever) and decided to go to Mac for breakfast :D Sat down, ate and revised while all the office employees walked past and looked at me.. Made a move at 8am and reached school eventually at 8.15am! Up to Mrs Tay's room to settle logistics and sort for the Shiseido Workshop - get bread and stuff from Biz Park - before finally running off to the LT at Engine block with Eunice and WeiMing. The test was... horrifying at the start. 10 MCQs were alright but then came the short answer questions! All calculations (i like them but.. no confidence as usual). I couldn't do them at all on the first try. I ended up using my liquid paper A LOT and used my pencil to scribble all sorts of nonsense that i could >< I felt like crying :/ (crybaby!) Out of the 3, i couldn't do ALL?! We had 50 minutes for the paper.. And after much trying, i finally got the answers (though i will never know if i got them right till we get back our results..). All the crazy multiply, divide, BRACKETS (have i mentioned how important they are?!) and whatnot. Our lecture notes need to be more clear on the brackets though. How do you punch in the values of this formula? If you just punch in that way, you'd be calculating like this: Because usually, you solve the multiply/divide part first before adding/minus. But if you punch them in just like that (without the brackets), you're never going to get the right answer! The right way is to T_T I can't believe i'm doing this ON MY BLOG. But yeah, the brackets are usually the problem :/ I will always remember that bracketing is one of those things that Mr Low emphasized on a lot during e/amath classes >< Oh and prayers really do help (: I read one for studying which translates into,"Oh Allah, please benefit me from what You have taught me, and teach me what benefits me and increases my knowledge. Amin." My aunt used to teach us the Qur'an and she would ask us to read that prayer before we start studying/learning. Alhamdulilah, it has worked time and time again. He clears my head and help me. Also, Irah taught me a prayer during my O Levels and it helps to clear mind blocks, God Willing! I am blessed for being surrounded by my family who love God and are not ashamed of reading His words. I should be grateful to the max. Okay so now PFP is done! 3 more papers spread of the next week, Fundamentals of Investment, International Finance and Consumer Banking. JIAYOU ALL! (: |
